What exactly do you do at COViS and since when?

I work in the security department. There I deal with security issues such as vulnerabilities and our internal documents.

Why did you choose COViS?

I was referred by a friend. He submitted my application and then things took their course.

Do you have a tip for a smooth application process?

Make sure that the application documents are submitted in full. And a polite behaviour.

What does a normal working day look like for you?

I get to the office between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. and then work on my assignments. During the lunch break we usually go out to eat or order something. During short breaks, people often meet in the corridor and chat for a while.

What kind of projects are you working on right now?

Most recently, I learned about the different reading methods of RFID readers. I dealt with this when I was responsible for installing a new intruder alarm system.

How did your colleagues welcome you?

I was received very friendly at COViS. Despite a busy schedule, many employees made time for me and showed me interesting things. Even during the Corona regulations and the absence of many employees, I was well integrated into the team.

What should an applicant bring to work at COViS?

The applicant should bring personal motivation and engagement. Personal initiative and good ideas are also welcome.

Do you have opportunities for further education?

I can take part in internal seminars and always learn a lot of new things on the job.

What framework conditions are created so that the employees feel comfortable?

We have flat hierarchies. Of course we have the informal “Du” here and nobody is treated condescendingly.

Do you still have time for leisure activities?

The flexitime enables good leisure planning. Of course, when I'm studying and working, I don't have as much free time as I did when I was a student, but I still have enough time to relax and pursue my hobbies.

What would you like to have known before starting your job?

About the flextime policy and the free drinks and cereals.

What are your visions for your professional future at COViS?

I'm working there for the first time as a working student. I'm not sure yet in which direction I want to work after my studies. But what I already know is that I can well imagine COViS as an employer after my studies.

Have your expectations been met?

I've had a great time at COViS so far, I've learned a lot of new things and had interesting experiences. I'm in a nice team, can work flexibly in my home office and have many other advantages. Yes, my expectations were met.

Find the job that fits you most!

Here you can find all the available job offers, but you are still welcome to apply proactively.
